Never

I never thought I'd be the kind of person who get so upset over results. Maybe a bit glum or just annoyed but about 3 hours ago I just completely fell apart. IT took me four day but here it is, the overwhelming stress. I can't believe 4 letters can make me feel like this but I feel like I've ruined my chance. I've rescheduled my ukcat as I'm in no state, but I just feel so helpless. I just have to pull through some how

  1. Hey,

I've been meaning to write this comment for sometime. While I did not get four A's. I did in my Law and I do have some advice for the second year.

Don't panic. Just make sure you do ALL your resits in January. I had 15 exams. It was stressful, I never went out but it paid off.

For Biology I know if you print ALLL the past papers you can see some questions which always come up. So you could easily memorise the mark schemes.

Law come up with examplar answers. Usually the questions are always the same. Then once you have an answer get your tutor to change it to an A grade examplar. Type it out and learn it. I got full marks on my module 6 for doing that becuase I couldnt be bothered researching it all and learning it all. I just learned enough to get me an A.

I worked out that If you revise each subject around 4 hours extra a week from the start of college you would do fine.

As for a job DONT. I had to leave my job for certain reasons. I got grades like your's in A/s level. Yet when I had more time to focous on my studies and no money to go out. My grades went to A's. You need to use all your time.

Gym I would say do it now, as I am. However I didnt and like about ten other lost my nice slender figure to love handles and beer belly! Not only that it elevates your mood so up to you on this one.

For success just. Be organised. Print the syllabus. (very important). Come up with revision check lists using the syllabus. I then did ALL past papers to practice and marked them myslef.

I had a note pad when revising to write down anything confusing to get my tutors to check.

Thing is its very hard to get in that zone. Force yourself and you will do great.

Dont be disheartned. I didn't I was very ignorant to be honest. Yet I pulled myself together and said. Im not clever, I wont sail these exams I need to study.

    An it worked.

Good luck! I really hope you get where you want to. An I shall keep reading.

  2. Hey,

I've read your blog in the past and came back to it this evening.

I know it is very disheartening to do not as well as you need to at AS for med school. That happened to me. I retook almost everything alongside my A2s and didn't go out or do much. Hell, I even missed the school prom, but I got my AAA and fuck yeah was it worth it! I took a gap year as an HCA and got an uncond offer to my top choice med school. It is definitely possible, just remember what it is you want to achieve and FOCUS!

Reply to this message if you want any tips e.g. chem/bio/any advice.

Good luck, it's not that bad and definitely worth it!

    xxx
